Orko's Masters of Ceremony

Orko's Masters of Ceremony t-shirt by DRMTM. Parody of Master's of the Universe, of course. The Master's of Ceremony is one definition of M.C. but also the name of Grand Puba's (O.G.) old group before Brand Nubian. This tee is clever. Get it at DigitalGravel.

Great American Food Fest - June 13

Never got around to writing this from June 13th. Great American Food Fest, Mt. View, California, Shoreline Amphitheatre. This was like a get-together for America's best foodie eat spots. So instead of traveling around the country you can eat em all in one place. I came early with a bunch of people so we all got to share luckily. Plenty of people complained about long lines and sold out food - it happened but I had fun and hope they come back.

Highlights:
1) OMG.. Southside Market Texas Barbeque from Elgin, TX. I never planned on visiting Texas in my lifetime but I may. This little meal was the best. I shoulda got another one but it's not like I had a lot of stomach room at the end of the day at a food fest.

2) Saw Bobby Flay demo. He also judged a Bay Area's Best Burger contest.

3) Aida Mollenkamp from Food Network. I actually sat to watch this lecture on the grass and was sitting right behind other food network personalities chillin on the grass.

4) Remains of my barbeque and Junior's Cheesecake (Outta NYC) about to be eaten (was frozen tho). In the pic, I'm inhaling Graeter's Ice Cream, proclaimed as Oprah's favorite.

Not pictured. I also had Pink's Hot Dogs: Pretty good. Tony Luke's Cheesesteaks: not so good.

IGOD on FACEBOOK

Sometimes outta sheer curiosity or sheer boredom, I look up people who buy my tees. I mean people like my tees & buy them, but it's a shame I pretty much don't know anything else about these people and we might have a lot in common.

So a guy buys my IGOD tee after asking a few questions on Ebay. So I check him out, see he has a Facebook and his Facebook pic is my IGOD shirt. I guess he's excited to get it. That's cool.

Adamson's French Dip - Sunnyvale

I really like this place. Adamson's French Dip opened like 2 months ago and I've been here about 4 times. They use wood fired ovens cooking meat slow. The top sirloin and prime rib french dip sandwiches are their specialty but they also got tri-tip, chicken and pork bar-b-que sandwiches. And that's it. So if you are vegetarian or got picky kids, you gotta go somewhere else or it's just fries.

Size-wise the sandwiches look small but they are stacked with meat. The tenderest & juiciest kind. I used to go the Philly Cheesesteak shop right in the same mall but not since this place opened. Sorry Cheesesteak shop.

Went to Ringling Bros Circus at HP Pavilion last week. I've never been to the circus before. But from my guess this circus was kinda Cirque De Soleil influenced... where they kinda wove a storyline between all the acts. But not really. It had all the trapeze stuff, elephants, dogs, clowns, lions and singing.

A few trapeze acts almost gave me a heart attack because the performers always slip a bit and act like they're gonna fall. I heard that they had motorcycles last year. Oh, they also had protesters in the front of the pavilion. I didn't expect that. I noticed there was an elephant that didn't do a trick like the other elephants but he didn't get no beat down. So no obvious signs of cruelty. I had fun.
